Texture Help: Are your textures tileable or seamless?
It depends on the specific product — not all Studio 2am textures are seamless, and the product page will tell you which ones are.
What's the difference?
Seamless (tileable) textures repeat without any visible seam or edge. You can tile them across a large canvas, wrap them around a 3D object, or use them as a repeating background and they'll look continuous. These are ideal for large-format print, surface design, packaging, and 3D work.
Non-seamless textures are single high-resolution images. They're great for overlays, photo effects, adding grain or grit to a design, or any use where you're placing the texture as a single layer rather than repeating it.
How do I know if a texture is seamless?
Check the product page — it will be noted in the product description or specs if a texture is seamless/tileable. If it's not mentioned, assume it's a non-seamless single image.
Can I make a non-seamless texture tileable?
In Photoshop, you can use Filter > Other > Offset combined with the Clone Stamp or Healing Brush to manually patch the edges and create a seamless tile. Results vary depending on the texture — organic textures like paper or concrete tend to work better than highly detailed ones.
