Product categoriesUpdated October 31, 2026

Using Studio 2am effects in Adobe Photoshop is quick and easy! These effects often come as PSD templates, overlays, brushes, or smart objects. Here's a general guide based on the type:

PSD Effect Template:

  • Step 1: Open the .PSD file in Photoshop.

  • Step 2: Locate the Smart Object layer (usually labeled "Replace Me" or similar).

  • Step 3: Double-click the Smart Object layer, insert your image, save, and close it.

  • Step 4: Your image will now appear with the effect applied in the main PSD.

Overlay (PNG or JPG):

  • Step 1: Open your image in Photoshop.

  • Step 2: Drag and drop the effect overlay into your document.

  • Step 3: Set the Blend Mode (e.g., Overlay, Screen, Multiply) in the Layers panel to blend the effect with your image.

  • Step 4: Adjust opacity and position as needed.

Brush (.ABR file):

  • Step 1: Open Photoshop, then go to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager or Window > Brushes.

  • Step 2: Click Import Brushes and load the .ABR file.

  • Step 3: Select the Brush Tool (B), choose your new brush, and paint the effect onto your design.

🛠️ Tips:

  • Always check for included instructions or layer names—they often guide you through the effect.

  • Use layer masks for more control and non-destructive editing.

  • Try duplicating and experimenting with blend modes to enhance the look.

Enjoy experimenting with your new Studio 2am effects! 💥🌟
