Font Help: Can I use a downloaded font on more than one device/ computer?
Yes — a Desktop font license can be installed across multiple devices, as long as the total number of active users doesn't exceed the number of seats you purchased.
How seats work
The Desktop license is sold per seat — one seat covers one person who actively uses the font files. You select the number of seats at checkout on the product page.
One seat covers all the devices that one person uses. If you work across a desktop and a laptop, one seat covers both — because it's still the same person using the font.
If two people both need to work with the font files, you need two seats.
Sharing files with a client or printer
You don't need extra seats just to deliver final files. If you're handing off outlined vectors, exported PDFs, or flattened images — formats where the font can't be extracted or installed — your existing license covers that. The recipient doesn't need their own license unless they want to install and actively use the font files themselves.
Contractors or freelancers working on the same project
If a subcontractor needs to actively use the font files as part of your project, they need to be covered by a seat — either you purchase additional seats, or they purchase their own license. Once the project is complete, they should delete their copy of the font files.
Need more seats than you originally purchased?
You can upgrade. Buy additional seats and contact us with both order numbers — we'll refund the original so you only pay the difference. See Can I upgrade my license later?
