Can I use the assets in products I plan to sell (t-shirts, posters, templates)/ social media posts?

LicensingUpdated October 22, 2026

Yes, selling products that use Studio 2am assets is covered under both Standard and Extended Commercial licenses, depending on your volume and use case.

What's covered

Both license types permit use in:

  • Physical products (t-shirts, hoodies, posters, mugs, packaging, etc.)
  • Digital products for sale (static designs, website elements)
  • Print and digital publications

Standard — up to 10,000 total end products Extended — up to 250,000 total end products

The limit applies across all products using that specific asset. If you expect to exceed your limit, upgrade to Extended, or contact us for a custom license.

Both licenses are licensed to a declared group: Just me, a Small team (2-5 people), or a Company or agency (6+ people, priced on headcount). If your team grows past the declared band, move up a tier at checkout, or contact us to upgrade.

What's not permitted under either license

  • On-demand or create-on-demand services — any setup where an end user can customise a product using the asset (e.g. a print-on-demand store where customers can pick and place a licensed graphic, or type into a design using a licensed font).
  • Reselling or redistributing the asset file itself — you can sell products made with the asset, but not the asset file as a standalone.
  • Editable templates for resale — you cannot sell a template where the buyer can extract or directly reuse the licensed asset. Delivered files must be in non-editable formats.
