Are licenses one-time purchases or subscription-based?

Licenses are one-time purchases, there are no subscriptions, renewals, or ongoing fees.

What that means in practice

When you buy a license on Studio 2am, you pay once and own that license permanently. You can use the asset in your work indefinitely, as long as you stay within the terms of the license you purchased.

There are no:

• Annual renewal fees
• Subscription tiers
• Per-project charges
• Royalties on sales you make using the asset

Does my license expire?

No. Studio 2am licenses are perpetual, they don't expire and don't need to be renewed. See Do licenses expire?.

What if my needs change?

If you later need a broader license, for example moving from Standard to Extended, or your company grows into a bigger headcount band, you can upgrade. Buy the new license and contact us with both order numbers; we'll refund the original so you only pay the difference. See Can I upgrade my license later?
